Installations
The bread and butter of any location, building or asset. We can work with your fire risk assessor so we match your insurance policy to ensure you have the correct detection type and correct detection location for your needs. Fully serviceable and functioning equipment with easy to replace parts should anything go wrong.
For those of you working in the energy sector, we don’t need to explain the importance of functioning gas detection. Be it in a genset container or a building, we install the most efficient system for that environment. With links to some of the UKs most reliable detection companies we can ensure that only the best quality equipment is installed correctly. From solo engines to a 27 engine site with buildings and gas plants, we can get the job done.
If you own or work in a large building with vunerable people, sometimes a blaring buzzer or pulsing siren can be too disorientating or panic inducing. Why not try a PAVA instead? A pre recorded message of your choice will be played over installed speakers around your premises, calmly instructing occupants of where to go and how to proceed. Easy to install and adds a calmer touch to the standard fire alrm.
VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) are perfect systems for fire detection coverage in any open space ares. From attics to warehouses to airports, the VESDA system is incredibly quick and reliable.
How it works: A neat network of cieling mounted pipes span the desired area, leading back down the wall to the VESDA unit. The unit creates suction through the pipes and small holes in the pipe will inhale smoke particles in the case of a fire. The VESDA unit will then run an almost immediate diagnostic, and if the smoke particle quantity rises to a certain figure, the VESDA sends a signal to your fire panel to go into alarm. Calibration of the unit is recommended every 6 months by a professional with VESDA software.
Additional devices can be added to the pipes to allow for gas detection and self cleaning.
Maintenence
For those of you in the energy sector, more specifically the landfill, coal mine and power response departments, we calibrate and service gas detection devices within your workplace. Ch4 can be extremely dangerous to work around, so we invite you to relax while we do the messy bit. We calibrate all types of devices from all range of brands, provided they are safe to use and work correctly. Failing this we will recommend fair replacement products which are easier to use for on site engineers should an alarm go off due to a leak. By law all establishments must have some degree of fire detection. What type and how strict it is depends on your insurance. On top of installing fire detection we can also maintain your equipment. We will come and test, replace and clean your devices as the occasion demands. We cover everything from panel servicing, call point testing, detection maintenance, VESDA calibration and sounder beacon checks. We can do Intrusive visits in which we shut everything down and test what happens during a live fire, and we offer a non-intrusive visit in which we inhibit what can be inhibited and tested with minimal disruptions to your day.
Fire Extinguishers are commonplace among pretty much every sector. We provide an annual basic inspection service to ensure your peace of mind should a fire break out in your place of work. We replace any damaged or used extinguishers and can offer advice on what extinguishers are required where. We provide easy to read digital reports on our maintenance visit detailing all work done, and work to be done either by yourself the client, or by us your provider. It will also include any recommendations we may have to improve the safety of your site, should you wish to act upon them. These reports will be sent to you as an email automatically when it is submitted by our engineer, and will also be easily accessible from our unique online portal. Our portal gives you online access to all of your sites reports and their current status, be it passed, failed or cautionary with a summary of the site. This is also paired with a digital copy of a site specific floor plan detailing locations of gas detection, fire detection, estops, emergency lighting and more, subject to your needs.
Even if you have pre-existing kit installed, its no problem. We work with most well known fire and gas panel brands in the UK, which means its quick and easy for us to get or hands on stock dependent on the supplier. We do however carry most of the basics from trusted and widely used brands like Apollo, Honeywell and Crowcon in our vans, so replacements on the day are likely.
